What does your home mean to you?
Safety? Security? Memories? Probably all of the above, right? A home is a place
for your family to grow and know that they are taken care of. But imagine of
your family had none of these things, and instead was living on the street or
in a dump. This is the situation for many impoverished families in Mazatlan,
Mexico. Living homeless or in makeshift shacks put together with trash from the
nearby dump, they have no sense of security or home.
On June 9th, I will be
traveling to Mazatlan to build a home for one such family. However, this trip
will not be free and that is why I need your help to get me there! In addition
to building the house, I will also be passing out food and water to impoverished
children and adults scavenging in the dumps, giving food and supplies to the
large homeless community, and much more. Above all, the goal is to bring hope
and love into these seemingly hopeless places.
This trip will cost $500, a blessing
of a small figure when compared to most missions trips. If 100 people gave just
$5.00, I would achieve my goal. Everyone doesn’t have to be a missionary, but
everyone can participate in the missionary’s work. If you would like to help
send me to Mazatlan, you can give online at Mogiv or email thegyasishoes@gmail.com for more info. Thanks in advance!
